ABOUT THE AWARDS

Career Communications Group, Inc. (CCG) was founded in 1985 with a unique mission: To promote significant minority achievement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). As a minority-owned talent management company providing diversity and leadership solutions to individuals and organizations, we recognize the mandate to promote excellence among our youth by telling the stories of the thousands of unheralded minority engineers, technologists, and scientists who are striving for success.

CCG publishes Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine, US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine, and Women of Color magazine. In addition to the BEYA STEM Global Competitiveness Conference, CCG hosts the Women of Color STEM Conference.

CCG is founder of three national public awareness/community empowerment campaigns: Black Family Technology Awareness Week, La Familia Technology Week, and the Native American Family Technology Journey, all sponsored by IBM Corporation. The purpose of these programs is to get minority-group families and communities focused on the urgent need for development in the field of technology.

Through our annual, national conferences; educational and public awareness programs; inspiring magazines; and other products and services, CCG reaches thousands of students and professionals each year. Through our continuous research and relationships we are able to strengthen communities, and the nation, by extending to people of color opportunities in the high-dollar-value fields of STEM.

Nominations are open to all without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristics.
